If there's something you'd like someone else to tackle, maybe you've got a great idea but don't have any way to flesh it out, it'd be nice to have some kind of mark for that. It could also mark pages that need to be created.

Right now, if you look at Scourwind Valley, you'll see that I've put (*) after any word or phrase I think could use development.

How does that work for everyone?

That would work fine. You could also create a stub page with "Needs Development" as the only content. But the asterisk serves to let people know without having to travel the link. I'm not sure about Wikidot, but Wikimedia marks stub pages in special context to show that the link it empty. If Wikidot does that then there is no need for the asterisk. An empty stub should be an indication that the creator isn't planning on developing it, but thinks more detail is needed.

Either way works for me.

Micco,

Yeah, it looks like Wikidot doesn't have that stub-marking functionality, so for now the asterisks are going to have to do (although creating and linking to stub pages for every asterisk is a great idea! I'll (or someone else) get on that when I get back from an event I'm at today.

Do you think Footnoting would work?

You can check out an existing footnote over at Fallcrest Expansion. If you tagged it with your name before or after the note, then even multiple footnotes could go on a single piece of info without interrupting the text that much. Older questions and such could be deleted as they're answered in later footnotes.

Probably a combination of using footnotes to initially specify what type of content you want the group to work on (and maybe the direction in which things should go—asking specific questions, for example); and then moving on to new pages when/if the idea gets bigger than a footnote or two. Multiple footnotes (especially on a long page) would be hard to read, wouldn't it?

@Mikko. I really like the idea of a "needs development" or "to do" page. It doesn't have to be initially organized as anything else but a set of bullet points. But it could grow into a table of contents (of sorts) to the project as a whole.
